² a devout one, and one fearing God with all his household, doing many acts-of-almsgiving to the [Jewish] people, and praying to God continually— ³ saw in a vision^[a] clearly^[b], as-if ^[c] it were around the ninth^[d] hour of the day, an angel of God having come-in^[e] to him, and having said to him, “Cornelius!” ⁴ And the one— having looked-intently at him, and having become terrified— said, “What is it, sir^[f]?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your acts-of-almsgiving went up for a memorial before God.
